Using Bloom's Taxonomy to Create Engaging and Challenging Lecture Questions

Bloom's Taxonomy is a hierarchical framework for critical thinking that defines different levels using with action verbs.  Refer to the image below.  These action verbs are used to craft questions for lectures that scaffold from lower order thinking skills (like remembering) to those that require critical thinking skills and creativity (like creating original solutions).   Here are some Questions stems and Examples.

Instructions

1. Build a set of 5 questions for each Bloom's Taxonomy level based on your chosen practice lecture topic for this class. 
2. Don't forget to put your questions through the filters described here and modify as needed. 
3. Then, reflect on which questions you feel are the more relevant based on the learning objectives.
4. Respond to 2 posts made by others.
